The definition of Internet addiction is disputed and varies; however, “Internet addiction” (IA) has been termed “pathological Internet use” (PIU) or “ Internet dependency” and is defined as the “inability to control one’s use of the Internet which leads to negative consequences in daily life” (Li, O’Brien, Snyder, & Howard, 2015)
